Welcome to Rustichella Pasta Bar, a small restaurant dedicated to fresh pasta in Brisbane and the traditions of Emilia-Romagna. Located in Nundah Village, Rustichella brings the food culture of Bologna and northern Italy to the table through handmade pasta prepared fresh every day.

Every morning, our kitchen rolls fresh sfoglia using flour and eggs. Then we hand-cut and shape each pasta using regional techniques from Emilia-Romagna. Our menu includes tagliatelle, pappardelle, gramigna, gnocchi, tortelloni, tortellini and passatelli.

Fresh Handmade Pasta Brisbane

Fresh pasta sits at the centre of everything we do. For this reason, we prepare every pasta shape on site each day.

Tagliatelle pairs with slow-cooked ragùs rich in flavour and tradition. Meanwhile, gramigna holds sauces inspired by Bologna and Modena beautifully. In addition, our filled pasta changes with the seasons and with the rhythm of the kitchen.

We also prepare fresh gnocchi daily. As a result, guests enjoy a softer and comforting style of pasta inspired by Italian home cooking.

Emilia-Romagna Traditions

Emilia-Romagna stands among Italy’s most celebrated food regions. In particular, Bologna and Modena shaped many of the country’s best-known pasta traditions.

At Rustichella, these traditions guide our menu and our approach to cooking. Therefore, we focus on fresh ingredients, regional recipes and handmade pasta techniques passed through generations.

Furthermore, our wine list highlights Italian varietal wines and lesser-known grape varieties. Each selection reflects the diversity and identity of regional Italy.

Fresh Pasta, Wine and Regional Italian Food

Rustichella began from humble beginnings and continues to grow organically through guests who appreciate fresh handmade pasta and regional Italian food.

We keep our focus simple. No pizza. No oversized menu. Just fresh pasta, carefully selected wines and traditions that continue to live through every service.

Whether visiting for lunch or dinner, guests can discover fresh pasta in Brisbane inspired by the culinary traditions of Emilia-Romagna.
