Rustichella Pasta Bar Reshapes Brisbane’s Dining Week

From 1 October 2025, Brisbane’s dining rhythm changes — weekends off, Monday to Friday nights on.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Nundah restaurant closes weekends, opens Monday–Friday nights to shift the rhythm of city dining

Brisbane’s dining culture is about to get a shake-up. From 1 October 2025, Rustichella Pasta Bar, the acclaimed Nundah pastificio-restaurant specialising in the cuisine of Emilia-Romagna, will introduce a bold new schedule: open Monday to Friday evenings from 4:00pm, closed Saturdays and Sundays.

The move is more than a roster change — it’s an attempt to reshape how the city eats.

“Brisbane dining doesn’t need to be chained to the weekend. Mondays and Tuesdays can be just as vibrant.”

Reshaping the Culture

By stepping away from oversaturated weekends, Rustichella aims to create a calmer, more enjoyable dining rhythm. Weeknights become a chance to savour fresh pasta and regional Italian wines without the pressure of weekend crowds.

“Weekends are oversaturated. By moving away from the scramble, we give diners breathing room — and hospitality staff a place to relax on their days off.”

Revitalising Nundah and North Brisbane

Located in the heart of Nundah Village, Rustichella is proving that cultural vibrancy doesn’t belong exclusively to the CBD or Fortitude Valley. The restaurant is part of a growing movement that positions Brisbane’s suburban pockets as genuine food destinations.

“Cultural vibrancy doesn’t have to come from the CBD. It can grow in neighbourhoods like Nundah.”

Accessibility and Connection

With Nundah train station just steps away and Queensland’s new 50-cent fares making travel easier than ever, Rustichella sees accessibility as a key driver of this shift.

“For the price of a coin, you can jump on a train and enjoy dinner and wine in Nundah. Transport isn’t a barrier anymore — it’s a bridge.”

About Rustichella Pasta Bar

Founded in 2022, Rustichella Pasta Bar is dedicated to the fresh pasta traditions of Emilia-Romagna, with handmade pasta crafted daily and a wine list focused on lesser-known Italian grape varieties. Imagine crescentine, tigelle, gramigna, tortelloni and more. What began humbly has grown into a local destination, where flour, egg, and soul remain at the heart of everything.
